Yeah, there is no really good way to archive tumblr blogs--nothing maps one to one, and short of manually recreating a site that can use all the disparate pieces to display it, a lot of stuff is going to be lost. I went mutlipronged--download, wayback, manually saving pieces, wordpress backup for sideblogs.
